I've got a soft spot for Ridge Geyserville. A bottle about a decade ago was the start of my wine collecting habit. I had this with Heidi and her good friend Rachel tonight with chicken Parmesan, spaghetti with spicy tomato sauce and a fresh red leaf salad.

Ridge's Geyserville is a Zinfandel blend. in '05 it was 77% Zin, 17% Carignane, 6% Pettite Sirah. 14.6% Alcohol. The wine is very forward, big, fruity and spot on. the '05 is labeled as the 40th vintage.
